Samsung has come out with its two new mobile phones called the Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos. The thing that makes these smartphones different from the rest is that they support two sims. One of the phones are provides the keyboard while the other does not, the smartphones are said to hit the store of Russia next month whereas they will be shipped countries later. Integrated with Google Android 2.3 the smartphones comes with the ability to hold two phone numbers and their data at the same time and a mobile broadband radios of 7.2 Mbps HSPA.
As far as the looks go the two samrtphones bears the same resemblance to most of the Samsungs. The introduction of these two phones further expands the Galaxy Y lineup. Acting as a strategic model or the entry model, Samsung’s all the Y labeled models are more directed towards the younger audience as they are more price sensitive. As far as the specifications are concerned they are pretty mediocre a processor of 832 MHz, resolution of 332×240 and a 3 megapixel camera without auto focus.
All these features when blended with dual SIM option makes a nice recipe for the users of those countries where costs of the phone drag people to share their phones, and dual SIM serves their problem quite well.
