Apple releases Rewind at the end of every year which shows the best performances in different categories such as movies, music, podcasts, TV shows and apps. And the app that outstood all the other apps was none other than our very own Angry Birds. Angry cleaned sweep all the other opponents. Rovio, Angry Birds developer, has made an epic yet simple app that everyone loves.
Angry Birds was among the top of four different categories which even included ‘top free and paid iPad app’ and ‘top paid iPhone app.’
While last year the app was only at the top of ‘paid iPhone app’, this shows the success and improvement it made during a year.
Last year Angry Birds got a bit late for iPad that is why it did not win the 2010 competition. But this year, it stroke back and dominated the app competition. Besides Angry Birds there were several other apps that performed well over the year these apps included Penultimate and GarageBand.
The apps that held the second and third place in the sub category of Free iPad apps were The Weather Channel and Netfix.
As far as the Paid iPhone apps category goes it included many other apps that held quite good positions, among those apps were Fruit Ninja which came in second spot and also the Cut the rope and Tiny wings.
But Angry Birds did not go all the way through. In the category of Free iPhone apps it was Facebook that defeated the Angry Birds and threw it down to number four. Pandora Radio came in the second place and Words with Friends gained the third spot.
